Key Features

  • Flame & Graphite Furnace Auto-Switching: Controlled by the software, the instrument automatically switches between flame and graphite furnace modes, configuring the system for different concentration ranges automatically.
  • Automatic 6-Lamp Turret: Features a ≤6-socket configuration with independent power supplies, allowing for simultaneous preheating. Lamp positions No. 5 and No. 6 are configured to support high-performance dual-cathode hollow lamps.
  • Optical Temperature Monitoring (Graphite Furnace): This graphite furnace utilizes a vertical optical temperature monitoring system that directly detects the inner wall temperature of the graphite tube. This enables temperature reading (up to 3000°C) closer to the actual sample.
  • High-Precision Lead Screw Drive: Employs a four-subdivision screw drive mechanism. The wavelength step accuracy reaches 0.005nm, which supports a wavelength repeatability of ±0.1nm.
  • Dual Background Correction: Equipped with two methods: the D2 (Deuterium Lamp) method and the SR (High-Speed Self-Absorption) method.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Sample Introduction: Features a polymer material spray chamber that resists acid, alkali, and hydrofluoric acid. It is paired with an optional 50mm or 100mm titanium burner.
  • Gas Flow Control & Safety: Integrates an imported mass flowmeter with an automatic microcomputer control system (operating range 0-4L/min). The system includes automatic ignition/extinction, as well as alarm and protection functions for graphite tube damage, water flow, air pressure, and overheating.

Applications

The AA-1800S is utilized in scientific research and industrial sectors for high-sensitivity trace elemental analysis:

  • Environmental Protection: Testing trace elements in environmental water, tap water, and pure water using the D2 background correction method.
  • Food Safety and Agriculture: Analyzing complex sample matrices such as food and agricultural products using the SR background correction method.
  • Metallurgy and Chemical Industry: Utilizing high-temperature element detection technology (up to 2800°C) with specialized graphite tubes to test elements like titanium, vanadium, platinum, molybdenum, and barium.
  • Scientific Research & Disease Control: Quantitative analysis for biological and research samples requiring platform pyrolytic coated graphite tubes for reliable data collection.

Who is it for?

  • Comprehensive Testing Laboratories: Facilities that need to test both high-concentration elements (via flame) and high-sensitivity trace level elements (via graphite furnace), requiring an instrument that switches modes automatically.
  • Quality Control and Research Institutions: Organizations that demand reliable equipment for routine quality control and analytical precision, utilizing components like the Hamamatsu photomultiplier tube and mass flow gas controllers.

Why choose it?

  • Structural Stability: The entire optical path system is fixed on a 20mm thick integral flanged cast aluminum plate with a “well” shape support in the middle. This structural design resists thermal deformation and helps maintain optical alignment during transportation and long-term high-temperature operation.
  • Certified Qualifications: The instrument complies with major international product qualifications and safety standards, holding certifications including the European CE mark, North American ETL, FCC, RoHS, China CQC, and 3C.
  • Lamp Positioning: Features full machinery processed drum lampshades and a double pulley position adjustment technology for accurate positioning of the lamp shaft, ensuring light energy transmission.

Packaging, Installation & Operation

Packaging & Shipping

After unpacking the instrument, compare the contents with the packing list and check that all items are present and undamaged.

Installation & Setup

Place the spectrophotometer in a suitable location away from direct sunlight, dust, corrosive gases, and strong vibrations. For stable operation, keep it away from strong magnetic or electrical fields and electrical devices that may generate high-frequency fields.

Keep the area around and underneath the instrument clear to allow adequate airflow.

Use the appropriate power cord and connect the instrument to a grounded outlet.

Initial Operation

Turn on the spectrophotometer and allow it to warm up for the recommended time before taking measurements. Follow the instrument’s operating instructions to complete any required system initialization, calibration, or wavelength verification before measurement.
